Hello and Mabuhay! My name is Rochelle! The curious mind behind the creative brand  Design By Rochelle.

Thankful to be Ledzep's wife and so blessed to be Rafael's mom! I am a proud Filipino-American. I was born and raised in the Philippines, now happily living with my family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm a self-taught designer. It all started about two years after Rafael was born prematurely. I'm still struggling with my undiagnosed and untreated PPD, trying to find something productive to do. I stumbled upon Groove, a drag-and-drop website builder. On my sleepless nights, instead of scrolling on social media or binge-watching Netflix, I rolled up my sleeves and taught myself web design, watching endless tutorials here and there. At the age of 40, I discovered a new passion and a new hidden talent. And just like that, the accidental designer was born! At first, I was designing just for fun until I realized I could do this as a side gig. Grateful to a handful of people for the opportunity and for trusting me to do their website. With that, I was able to build my portfolio and my confidence. Fast-forward to today, and my little 'side gig' is officially open for business.
